Sepetak Kisah

A contemporary space for tales, Sepetak Kisah is derived from the Indonesian word meaning a circular space for tales inspired by my lost connection to folktales I heard in the past. Throughout the Final Major Project, I present a watercolored paper tunnel that invites the audience to take a closer look and experience a dream-like journey through my world built within the works, with an open-ended discussion about what we contemplate folktales to be and how they are presented in our contemporary world today. As an emerging illustrator, Sepetak Kisah aims to make me aware of cultural preservation developments in the contemporary era.
