2020 - Cheltenham illustration award
In 2020, the Cheltenham Illustration Award chose "I Am Many Stories" as their main theme.
Sometimes we tend to forget that what we do today can affect our future. We are so used to our daily routine that it becomes stagnant, boring, and blant - so blant that sometimes we daydream and project ourselves to this imaginative space in the future without really making changes today.
Pay attention to your surroundings. Our daily routine could actually be interesting and fun if you try and look at it from a different perspective. You can find many new possibilities that might have been there, in front of you all along. It might be weird at first, but it’ll make your day to day routine much more interesting, won’t it?
In this illustration, I was inspired by the methods I used while working on my final project during my final year at University.
While practicing to illustrate digitally, I’ve experienced a lot of different things! One thing I noticed most is that I can’t feel any textures of the medium or layers compared to traditionally making my artwork.
